Welcome to Kentucky Counseling Center! There are many reasons why people decide to begin therapy. Some of us need help managing depression, anxiety, or severe mental illness. Others need support going through a major transition, or beginning to explore personal identity. Sometimes we just want outside perspective and insight. Mental health counseling is a step towards making positive change, no matter what kind of help you’re looking for.

Kentucky Counseling Center helps individuals and families from all walks of life. We are a private counseling group located at 1939 Goldsmith Ln, Suite 143 in Louisville, KY. We also have offices in Frankfort, Richmond, Lexington and Lawrenceburg. If you need school-based or in-home services in Irvine, Berea, Danville, Stanford, and surrounding communities, we have providers all around our offices as well! We are happy to accept Kentucky Medicaid.

Treatment is tailored to meet the specific needs of the individual and draws from a variety of approaches. We place a special emphasis on strengths-based counseling because we believe in the power and ability of each person to heal themselves. Although research supporting the health benefits of counseling is abundantly clear, some of us still have a difficult time asking for help. If this sounds familiar, please take a minute to review the list below. It contains several of the most commonly reported changes that people have experienced while in therapy:

  • greater self-acceptance and self-esteem

  • ability to change self-defeating behaviors/habits

  • better expression and management of emotions, including anger

  • relief from depression, anxiety or other mental health conditions

  • increased confidence and decision-making skills

  • ability to manage stress effectively
  • improved problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities

If you are ready for change, and want to to speak to a health care professional, please call Kentucky Counseling Center today at 855-591-0092. We are currently accepting new clients, and look forward to meeting you.

Sincerely,

Matt Grammer, MA, M.Ed, LPCC
